Todays verse: John 14:1-14

Answered Prayers

Jesus speaks a lot about pray in the bible. It may be one of his favourite subjects. When Jesus speaks about prayer he also talks about how God answers prayers like in Matthew 7:8 “For everyone who asks, receives.”

In the verses we have read today Jesus says to his disciples v14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!

Prayer is fantastic, it´s life giving, it brings healing, it sets us free, gives us strength and builds our relationship with God. And when we experience prayers being answered it strengthens our faith.

God doesn’t put limitations on us when it comes to prayer, rather he says “ What ever you pray in my name, it shall be done.”

He wants to help us far beyond our limitations. He desires that we see Gods almighty power and love towards us through giving us answers that are far beyond what we imagine. He is more willing to answer our prayers than we are willing to pray.

God is not a limiting God he is a God of overflow. It is often our thoughts that stop us praying for things that God wants to help with. But the truth is that if we allow Jesus into every area of our lives, we will experience answered prays in every area of our lives.

Jeremiah 33:3 Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.

The last few weeks I have asked God for many things, and although I am still waiting for answers to some of my prayers I have also experienced answers and Gods comfort in a real way.

He who is all-powerful shows his faithfulness and love toward me. It is amazing!

Let today be a day where you are filled with faith and rest from on high. You don’t need to strive. Just come to God in Prayer and trust that he hears you and loves you.
